About the Event
Even if you live within sight of the sea, it's easy to forget that our world is mostly water. The open sea - that vast expanse of international waters - starts just a few miles away and spreads across three quarters of the globe. It's a place that remains radically free, exciting, stunningly beautiful, and most unforgivingly, if you don't know what you're doing. If you are looking for a real adventure, or if you want more experience and confidence in rough sea conditions, or if you want an International Certification (International Bareboat Skipper or Coastal Yachtmaster), it's time to go further out to sea and experience longer periods underway, out of sight of land, whilst learning in the environment of a state-of-the-art blue water sailing school.
The big blue ocean is calling. You are dreaming about sailing under a starlit sky. You want to experience what it means to sail out of the sight of land. Sailing in the open ocean you will likely will encounter dolphins, whales and spectacular sunsets and come home with memories that last a lifetime!
With a Ocean Sailing Course, you access navigation management in busy and non-busy areas, included night navigation, with the inherent decisions and the responsibility of the shifts, in consultation with the Professional skipper.
No previous sailing experience is needed.

There's no better place to learn sailing skills and techniques than in the beautiful waters of the Adriatic and Mediterranean Sea.
Welcome to the world of sailing!
What is the reputation of the sailing school you are considering?
Check out reviews on Google and Instagram. Rather than be told by the sailing school that they are great, find out from the students themselves.
Will the Ocean Sailing Course itinerary change?
Our number one priority is to ensure that we have safe and happy guests onboard our sailing course. With this in mind, we may need to change the itinerary for a variety of reasons including weather, port availability and guest experience.
Because it is a course that emphasizes sailing in different conditions, we sail day and night. But always focusing on the safety of everyone. So with good wind conditions we follow our route without making stops in Marinas. However, if the wind forecast is too severe, some stops will be made.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
You can also have a cabin to yourself (sahred or private) but you would need to pay a single supplement (50% extra). Alternatively, you can choose to share with another solo passenger (of the same gender).
What is the food and drink situation?
Food and drink is not included. Our yacht is equipped with a kitchenette including a gas stove, fridge, oven and kettle. You will need to bring your own food and drink prior to boarding the yacht. We have Supermarket in Split Marina and in different marinas we will visit. This way you can pick out exactly the food you'll prefer for lunch at sea. In the evenings you'll have a wide variety of restaurant options.
Are bed linen and towels included?
Yes they are, however the towels are for indoor/shower use only – you’ll need to bring your own beach towel for outdoors.
Can I get my certification at the end of the course ?
Yes, you can apply for your desired certification, provided you have enough required miles.
- International Bareboat Skipper certification is to have logged over 200 nautical miles
- Yachtmaster Coastal certification is to have logged over 800 nautical miles
For those interested, the theoretical and practical exams are given on the last day of the trip.
