About the Event

Even if you live within sight of the sea, it's easy to forget that our world is mostly water. The open sea - that vast expanse of international waters - starts just a few miles away and spreads across three quarters of the globe. It's a place that remains radically free, exciting, stunningly beautiful, and most unforgivingly, if you don't know what you're doing. If you are looking for a real adventure, or if you want more experience and confidence in rough sea conditions, or if you want an International Certification (International Bareboat Skipper or Coastal Yachtmaster), it's time to go further out to sea and experience longer periods underway, out of sight of land, whilst learning in the environment of a state-of-the-art blue water sailing school.

The big blue ocean is calling. You are dreaming about sailing under a starlit sky. You want to experience what it means to sail out of the sight of land. Sailing in the open ocean you will likely will encounter dolphins, whales and spectacular sunsets and come home with memories that last a lifetime!

With a Ocean Sailing Course, you access navigation management in busy and non-busy areas, included night navigation, with the inherent decisions and the responsibility of the shifts, in consultation with the Professional skipper.

No previous sailing experience is needed.

According to the planned offshore sailing plan, navigation, weather, routing, definition of waypoints and the route depending on the destination and the weather. Will the Croatia Sailing Course itinerary change?

At Sailing Munich, we're passionate about creating safe and enjoyable Offshore Sailing Course for our students. To ensure your safety and comfort, we may occasionally need to adjust our itinerary due to weather conditions, port availability, or other factors. Rest assured that we always strive to provide the best possible experience for our guests, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility. Our crew is dedicated to making your trip unforgettable, and we're always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Let's work together to make this an amazing course!

What are the sleeping arrangements?

If you'd like to have a cabin to yourself with a double bed, you can do so by paying a single supplement of 50%. Alternatively, you can share a cabin with another solo passenger of the same gender.

What currency should I bring?

The currency is Euro since January 2023.

What is the food and drink situation?

At Sailing Munich, we want you to enjoy every aspect of your Offshore Sailing Course, including your meals! To give you the flexibility to choose the food and drink that you prefer, we don't include these items in our packages. However, our yacht is equipped with a kitchenette that includes a gas stove, fridge, oven, and kettle, so you can prepare your own meals while on board. We recommend that you bring your own food and drink before boarding, which you can easily purchase from the supermarket in Marina Dalmacija or in any of the islands we visit. This way, you can pick out exactly what you'll need for your perfect lunch at sea. In the evenings, you'll have a wide variety of restaurant options to choose from. Croatia is known for its delicious, locally-grown food, and our skipper will be happy to recommend the perfect restaurant for you. So come prepared to savor the flavors of the Adriatic and enjoy the Offshore Sailing Course!

Are bed linen and towels included?

Yes they are, however the towels are for indoor/shower use only – you’ll need to bring your own beach towel for outdoors.

When does the trip start and finish?

We can't wait to welcome you aboard our Offshore Sailing Course! Check-in begins at 4pm on Saturday at Marina Dalmacija, and we kindly ask that all our passengers disembark by 9am on the following Saturday so that we have time to clean and prepare the yacht for the next group. We'll send you detailed directions to the marina when you book your tour, so you'll have no trouble finding us. If you're unable to make it to check-in on time, don't worry – you can easily catch up with your yacht at your first destination. Our team is always here to help and answer any questions you may have, so let's get ready for an unforgettable course!

Are there any local payments that I need to be aware of?

We want to make sure that our guests have a stress-free and enjoyable experience onboard our sailing course, and that includes managing expenses. To help facilitate the extra costs associated with port fees, fuel, and tourist taxes, we recommend using the Splitwise app (available for Android and iOS). With Splitwise, you can easily split expenses with your fellow travelers and avoid the hassle of figuring out who owes what. It's the perfect tool for sharing costs and keeping track of expenses while on the go. So, let's focus on having fun and making memories, and let Splitwise take care of the rest!
