His expertise extends far beyond local waters. With a career spanning numerous Atlantic crossings, Caribbean expeditions, and yacht deliveries throughout the Mediterranean, Leo brings a truly global perspective to his teaching.
He founded Sailing Munich to offer a higher standard of training—one that prioritizes safety, builds real offshore confidence, and inspires a genuine passion for the ocean.

Capt. Guilherme Sucena
Guilherme brings a rare combination of high-level technical expertise and corporate professionalism to Sailing Munich.
As a certified IYT Examiner and holding a Master of Yachts 200 Ton (Unlimited) license, he is not just a skipper; he is the one who certifies other professionals.
His career spans from the icy waters of Scandinavia to the tropical Caribbean, commanding prestigious Superyachts such as the Sunreef 80 and Lagoon 62. With a background in competitive racing and an MBA in Management, Guilherme specializes in Multihull dynamics and onboard systems.
He ensures that our students learn not only how to sail, but how to manage a complex vessel with the discipline of a professional captain.
