FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IS THIS ROUTE SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WHO GET SEASICK?

North Dalmatia is known for its "labyrinth" of islands, which provides significant protection from large swells. We mostly navigate in sheltered waters, especially within the Kornati National Park and the Krka river canyon. Additionally, we plan our crossings based on the most favorable weather windows to ensure a smooth, comfortable experience even for those with no prior sea legs.

WHAT MAKES THE NORTHERN ROUTE DIFFERENT FROM THE SOUTHERN ONE?

The Southern route is more social and focused on famous towns like Hvar and Vis. The Northern route (Kornati) is about raw nature, silence, and exploration. It is a "labyrinth" of 140 islands, mostly uninhabited. If you are looking for crystal-clear bays all to yourself, dramatic cliffs, and a sense of being at the edge of the world, North Dalmatia is your perfect choice.

CAN WE ACTUALLY SEE THE KRKA WATERFALLS FROM THE BOAT?

We sail through a stunning deep-water canyon all the way to Skradin. From there, it’s a short, beautiful boat hop to the heart of the Krka National Park. Being on a yacht allows us to arrive early or stay late, avoiding the peak tourist crowds that arrive by bus, giving you a much more intimate experience with the waterfalls.

ARE THE RESTAURANTS IN REMOTE BAYS ACCESSIBLE BY YACHT?

Yes, and this is where our local expertise shines. We have curated a list of "Konobas" (local taverns) that are only accessible by boat or at the end of remote paths. These spots offer the most authentic Croatian cuisine—freshly caught fish, local lamb, and organic wine—far away from the "tourist menus" of the larger ports.

DO I NEED TO HELP WITH THE SAILING?

Only if you want to. This is a "Premium Escape," meaning your professional captain handles all the technical aspects, navigation, and safety. However, if you are curious, Leo is a certified instructor and is always happy to let you take the helm or explain the physics of the sails. You can be as active or as relaxed as you choose.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK FOR A WEEK IN THE KORNATI?

Space on a yacht is valuable, so we recommend soft bags instead of hard suitcases. You’ll spend most of your time in swimwear and light summer clothing. However, a light windbreaker for the evenings and a pair of non-marking rubber-soled shoes for the deck are essential. Don’t forget high-factor sunscreen and your polarized sunglasses to enjoy the turquoise water to the fullest.
