FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT MAKES THE BVI THE "SAILING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD"?
The British Virgin Islands offer the perfect combination of consistent trade winds, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and line-of-sight navigation. Most islands are just a few miles apart, meaning we can spend more time enjoying world-class snorkeling spots and iconic beach bars, and less time on long, grueling crossings. It is the ultimate playground for both those looking to relax and those who want to practice sailing in a pristine environment.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SAIL IN THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS?
The prime season is from December to May, when the "Christmas Winds" provide excellent sailing conditions and the weather is pleasantly warm. Sailing during this period allows you to escape the European winter and enjoy the Caribbean at its finest. We carefully plan our routes to take advantage of these steady winds, ensuring the yacht performs at its best while you enjoy the sun.
WHICH ICONIC SPOTS WILL WE VISIT?
Our BVI expedition covers all the legendary highlights: the granite boulders of The Baths on Virgin Gorda, the famous "Painkiller" cocktail at Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke, and the vibrant coral reefs of Anegada. Because we sail on a high-performance yacht, we often reach these destinations before the larger day-trip crowds, giving you a more exclusive experience.
HOW DO WE GET TO THE BVI FROM EUROPE OR THE USA?
Most guests fly into St. Thomas (STT) in the US Virgin Islands and take a fast ferry to Road Town, Tortola, or fly directly into Tortola (EIS) via San Juan, Puerto Rico. We coordinate with you to ensure your arrival and transfer to the marina are seamless. From the moment you step on board, we take care of all the local customs and immigration formalities.
IS THIS TRIP SUITABLE FOR CATAMARAN LOVERS?
While the BVI is the land of catamarans, we offer the best of both worlds. For those who prioritize space and stability for a large group, we operate modern catamarans (like the Lagoon series). For performance enthusiasts, we use our premium monohulls. Regardless of the vessel, the shallow drafts of our fleet allow us to anchor very close to the beaches, giving you direct access to the white sands.
WHAT IS THE "ANEGADA EXPERIENCE" ALL ABOUT?
Anegada is unique because it is a flat coral atoll, unlike the other volcanic islands in the BVI. Navigating there requires precision due to the surrounding reefs. It is famous for its world-class lobster dinners served right on the beach. We handle the difficult navigation and the dinner reservations, so you can enjoy one of the most authentic and remote experiences the Caribbean has to offer.
