FROM ZERO TO COMMAND:
YOUR 48-HOUR TRANSCRIPT
We pack months of learning into two days of intensive,
hands-on training.

The Clock of the Wind: Master points of sail and identify the "No-Go Zone" instinctively.
-
Rigging Like a Pro: Preparing the yacht for departure with speed and safety.
Module II: Precision Maneuvering
-
Tacking & Gybing: Executing seamless turns without losing momentum.
-
Points of Sail Mastery: Trimming for maximum performance in Close-Hauled, Reaching, and Running.
-
The Art of Steering: Developing the "feel" for the rudder and maintaining a straight course under pressure.
Module III: Safety & Seamanship
-
Essential Knots: The Bowline, Clove Hitch, and Cleat Hitch — the tools of every sailor.
-
Man Overboard (MOB) Drills: The most critical maneuver you will ever learn.
-
Rules of the Road: Understanding right-of-way to navigate busy waters like Lake Ammersee with peace of mind.
ROPEWORK & PRECISION
Mastering the essential knots is the first step toward seamanship.
We teach you the techniques used by professional crews to ensure safety and efficiency in any condition.

THE KING OF KNOTS
The most essential loop in sailing. Reliable, easy to tie, and never slips under load. You will master this to secure halyards and sheets with absolute confidence.
THE CLOVE HITCH

RAPID SECURING
Speed is safety. This is the professional’s choice for securing fenders and temporary lines. We teach you how to tie it with one hand, a vital skill in busy marinas.
THE CLEAT HITCH

DOCKING PRECISION
A boat is only as safe as its mooring. Master the correct sequence to secure your yacht to a cleat, ensuring it remains stable and easy to release even after a storm.
THE BOWLINE
YOUR 48-HOUR ROADMAP
-
SATURDAY: Rigging, Points of Sail, and First Maneuvers. You’ll be tacking independently.
-
SUNDAY: Performance Trimming, Navigation Basics, and Emergency Drills with the confidence to join any crew worldwide.

Step away from the city and into a different rhythm. This immersion is crafted for those who seek to disconnect and learn during the weekend, offering an ideal alternative for students who lack the time for our seven-day Croatia expeditions.
This is not a passive sightseeing tour. While the open water offers a profound mental reset, your time on board is dedicated to real, hands-on learning. You will take the helm, trim the sails, and master practical techniques under professional standards.
THE AMMERSEE QUICK RESET
Drive a short distance from Munich, engage in four hours of rigorous, focused training on the water, and return to the comfort of your home each evening. It is a powerful, fast-paced reset that seamlessly fits a demanding schedule.
THE GARDA TOTAL IMMERSION
We spend the entire weekend together, surrounded by the dynamic winds of the Italian Alps. You can choose to sleep on board the cabin yacht to fully embrace the maritime lifestyle, or rest in a comfortable guesthouse directly in front of the marina. You arrive on Saturday morning and return on Sunday evening revitalized, carrying genuine sailing skills and a clear mind.

SAILING WEEKEND: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I get certified during the weekend?
Yes. While the focus is on practical skills, students have the option to obtain the IYT Competent Crew and VHF Marine Communication Master certifications. Please note that these international certifications involve additional fees for registration and examination.
What is the food and drink situation?
Sailing is active work! We encourage you to bring your own snacks and beverages. Our boat has a compact cabin to store your gear safely. There are also restaurants and a Biergarten at the marina for before or after the lesson.
What should I pack in my bag?
Essential gear includes a waterproof windbreaker, a cap or visor, sunglasses, and sunscreen. For safety and environmental reasons, please bring a reusable water bottle (aluminum or plastic only, no glass on board).
What shoes and clothing should I wear?
Wear comfortable, gym-like clothing that allows for easy movement. You must wear non-marking sneakers or deck shoes. For safety reasons, high heels and flip-flops are strictly prohibited on board.
Do I need previous experience?
Not at all. This weekend is designed to take beginners from zero to active, confident crew members. If you already have some experience, our coaching will help you refine your technical precision and boat handling.
What if I am late or the weather is bad?
Our lessons begin and end promptly to ensure fairness to all students. We sail in most weather conditions as part of the training. In the event of heavy rain or dangerous conditions, the session will be postponed.
